Open House Projects

Hi All,
I wanted to share with you the projects I put together for my Open House.  Unfortunately, the order I placed with supplies for my Open House Projects did not arrive in time.  So I had to revamp all the ideas I had already sketched out for the Open House.  Over all I am pretty pleased with the way everything turned out considering the crunch time I had.

This treat box was a little box I made up for the guest as a Thank You.  I let the guest fill their box with Dove Chocolates.

For this box I used Rock Candy card Stock.
I used Spellbinders Grand Shapeabilities Square Bracket Edge Box Die (LF-010)
For the topper I used Fun Stampers Journey stamp sets
SS-0135 Zombies Attack! (Happy Halloween)
SS-0146 Day of The Dead (coffin)

I stamped the images in Fun Stampers Journey True Color Fusion Rock Candy Ink on Whip Cream card stock.  I used a sponge dauber to add color accent in Fun Stampers Journey True Color Fusion River Stone Ink.

I used the Fun Stampers Journey White Liner Tape to assemble the box.  Also I used the Bloom Tool with the Liner Tape Hook accessory to burnish the tape in place and remove the top liner of the tape.  This makes removing the top liner very quick and easy, something I usually have a problem with.  I used 3 dimension foam squares to attach the images to the top of the box.

This is the first project the guest made for Open House.

The base of the card is Oatmeal Cookie card stock. The Second Layer is Coco Powder card stock.  The second layer was cut using Spellbinders Card Creator A2 Matting Basics B.  This layer is embossed using the Spellbinders MBossabilities  EL-015 Bark embossing folder.  The third layer is Butter Cream card stock.  This layer is cut using Spellbinders Card Creator A2 Matting Basics B.  The edges of the third layer are inked using a dauber in Fun Stampers Journey True Fusion Coco Powder ink.  The owl is from Fun Stampers Journey AT-0004 Artful Owl.  The owl is stamped once in Fun Stampers Journey True Fusion Coco Powder and again in Fun Stampers Journey True Fusion Hazelnut Blend on scrap Butter Cream card stock.  The Coco Powder Owl was completely cut out.  The head and the wing of the owl in Hazelnut Blend were cut out.  I then used foam dimensionals and popped the head and wing up on the fully cut out owl.    For the leaves I used Spellbinders S4-328 Shapeabilities Foliage, Spellbinders S4-076 Shapeabilities Assorted Leaves, and Spellbinders S5-120 Fall Foliage.  I used the Journey Grand Machine to cut and emboss the leaves, then while the leaves were still in the dies I used daubers and stenciled the leaves to give dimension.  The leaves were cut out using Fun Stampers Journey Card Stock in Pumpkin Bread, Summer Days, Candy Apple, and Citrus Cooler.  The leaves were stenciled in the same coordinating Fun Stampers Journey True Fusion Ink Colors: Pumpkin Bread, Summer Days, Candy Apple, and Citrus Cooler.  I used Fun stampers Journey Natural Twine tied around the side of the card.  Each layer, the owl, and the leaves were layered using foam dimensionals.

The second card the guests were given a choice of the following 2 cards.

For this card I used a base of Whip Cream card stock.  The second Layer is Bubblegum card stock embossed with the Spellbinders M-Bossabilities ES-016 Cabbage Roses embossing folder.  The third layer is whip cream card stock edged with Fun Stampers Journey True Color Fusion Bubble Gum ink using a dauber.  The second and third layer were cut using Spellbinders Card Creator A2 Matting Basics B.  The Flower and the Sentiment are part of the Fun Stampers Journey Stamp Set SS-0139 Greeting Bouquet.  I inked the flower using Fun Stampers Journey True Color Fusion ink in Bubble Gum and Lemon Grass.  I applied the ink to the stamp using daubers to get both colors on the stamp.  I cut the flower out then cut one of the buds and one leaf off the image to layer them under the main blossom.  I used foam dimensionals on the flower and leaves.   I used True Color Fusion Black Licorice for the Sentiment.  I wrapped the ribbon in Bubble Gum around the front and taped the ends down on the back side of the Whip Cream card stock.

The second choice used The Fun Stampers Journey SS-0148 Be Brave stamp set.

The base is Whip Cream card stock. The second layer is Bubble Gum card stock embossed using Spellbinders M-Bossabilities ES-016 Cabbage Roses embossing folder.  The second and third layers were cut using Spellbinders Card Creator A2 Matting Basics B.  I wrapped the Bubble Gum ribbon around the second layer taping the ends to the back side of the Whip Cream card stock.  I used Fun Stampers Journey True Color Fusion Ink in Black Licorice for the sentiment.  The Pink Ribbon was stamped in Fun Stampers Journey True Color Fusion Bubble Gum Ink on scrap Whip Cream card stock and cut out.  The pink ribbon was layered on using foam dimensionals.
